Earlier this month, I passed the Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) certification exam, developed and launched by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
My preparation for the AIGP exam has deepened my understanding of AI governance and reinforced my commitment to its responsible use. As a Certified AI Governance Professional, I am dedicated to evaluating AI, integrating relevant standards and best practices, and developing and implementing strategies for compliance with applicable laws and regulations to ensure AI’s safe and ethical use.
The IAPP is a not-for-profit association founded in 2000 to define, promote, and improve the professions of privacy, AI governance, and digital responsibility globally. I am honored to join a robust community of qualified AI governance professionals working to establish trustworthy, safe, and responsible AI worldwide.
While I monitor AI developments at OpenAI, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Data, AI & Automation, Oracle Cloud, and others, I take this opportunity to share my top five go-to resources on AI.
1. IAPP and SMU
IAPP offers free resources to help prepare for this exam. Singapore Management University’s 3-day in-person course on AIGP further solidifies your understanding with more practice.

2. My long-time friend and mentor, Marin Ivezic
I find Marin Ivezic‘s blogs on AI security, AI safety, AI privacy, and AI’s role in spreading misinformation and disinformation, arguably posing the greatest threat to our democratic structures, the most insightful.

3. I follow Reid Hoffman
Earlier this year, I started following Reid Hoffman. I find his posts on AI very insightful as well. Here are some of them.

4. My friend and ex-colleague, Tal Eliyahu
Tal Eliyahu constantly shares much information about cyber and AI. Here is what he shared last week.
The AI Standards Hub is a platform by The Alan Turing Institute that offers a searchable catalogue of AI standards, policies, and training materials.
5. My friend, Raju Chellam
I also benefited from being a member of the Singapore Computer Society and my friend, Raju Chellam, Editor-in-Chief of the AI E&G BoK (AI Ethics & Governance Body of Knowledge), an initiative by the SCS and IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Media Development Authority) of Singapore.
SCS has a wealth of information on AI Ethics and Governance.
